The Savannah Airport Commission is accepting applications for two (2) Temporary Equipment Operator positions. Benefits are not authorized with temporary positions. Completion of High School education or equivalent and experience operating farm, mowing and/or construction equipment is preferred. Knowledge of mowing equipment, construction equipment and farm equipment operation and maintenance. Ability to perform pesticide and fertilizer operations. Knowledge of plant, shrub, tree and grass care, ability to work safely with and around mechanical equipment and chemicals, ability to operate light and heavy, manual and mechanical equipment and tools. Ability to work for extended periods of time in all types of weather conditions. Ability to lift 50 – 100 pounds. Must have a valid GA driver’s license with clean driving record.
Starting Salary: $12.01 per hour.
TEMPORARY GROUNDSKEEPER I
The Savannah Airport Commission is accepting applications for two (2) Temporary Groundskeeper I positions. Benefits are not authorized with temporary positions. Knowledge of tools and equipment, such as grass edgers, push and riding lawn mowers and tractors used in grounds maintenance is necessary. Ability to read and interpret instructions, work orders, etc. is necessary. Ability to operate and manipulate tools, light construction equipment, and operate an irrigation system also required. Ability to work for extended periods of time in all types of weather conditions. Ability to lift 50 – 100 pounds. Ability to reach, bend, stretch, climb, and kneel. Experience with landscaping and equipment operations is desirable. Must have a valid GA driver’s license with clean driving record.
Starting Salary: $11.43 per hour

EXTERIOR DETAILER
Applications are being accepted for one (1) full time position to work in the Airport Maintenance Department.Performs general exterior maintenance including pressure washing, scrubbing and sweeping utilizing various types of equipment both mechanized and manual. Responsible for proper operator checks, overall operation and safety for related equipment. May be required to complete minor painting functions as part of exterior building upkeep. May be required to complete immediate cleanups from vehicle/pedestrian spills adjacent to terminal areas. May be required to assist customers as directed during the course of normal shift.
Starting Salary:$12.01 per hour

Heavy Equipment Operator
Applications are being accepted for one (1) Heavy Equipment Operator position. Requirements include the ability to operate equipment such as motor graders, backhoes, bulldozers. Ability to determine and maintain proper grades of runoff areas, road shoulders. Ability to perform care and maintenance on equipment used. Ability to work safely with and around mechanized equipment. Ability to hear/respond to emergency broadcast communications and vision ability of 20/20 with corrected lens. Must possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License, CDL license preferred. Starting Salary $15.50/hr.
